The Bismarck Career & Technical Education Center supports three very involved student organizations: TSA, FFA, and SkillsUSA.
Photography Club will be a way for students interested in photography, whether beginning or advanced, to learn about the medium and increase their photographic and editing skills (CS5). Students will discuss and learn to shoot in various modes and conditions (manual, low light, athletic events, etc.), discuss and experiment with various terms and techniques (adjusting aperture and shutter speed, fill flash, etc.), and work on photographing people, animals, landscapes, etc.
TSA (Technology Student Association) provides leadership and opportunities in technology, innovation, design and engineering. Over 150,000 middle and high school students nationwide aspire to be future engineers, scientists and technologists through the TSA.
FFA students participate in Greenhand Roping competition, Annual Fruit Sales, and the National FFA Convention.
SkillsUSA members participate in a Leadership Conference offered in the fall and the State National Competition offered in the spring. Those students from around the state who place first in their area of competition are given the opportunity to participate in the National SkillsUSA Competition which is held in Kansas City, Kansas every June.
